OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

**UPDATED: 4 FEBRUARY 2021**

The GMCC will be receiving COVID-19 vaccines for our patients through partnership with the Virginia Department of Health, Three Rivers Health District, and Riverside Health System. GMCC is prioritizing patients to receive vaccines in accordance with the CDC phase 1a and 1b guidelines – patients in our clinic who are healthcare providers who did not receive the vaccine through their work locations, and those aged 16 through 64 years with a high risk medical condition or disability that increases their risk of severe illness from COVID-19.

GMCC will be contacting patients to schedule vaccines appointments during special "vaccine clinics" on Tuesdays from noon - 2:00pm.  Vaccines will be provided at these weekly clinic as vaccine doses are available.  We are aware that everyone is anxious to receive the vaccine, but ask that you refrain from calling us repeatedly.

Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, GMCC will be utilizing telehealth visits where appropriate.  Patients with telehealth appointments will be walked through this process at the time of scheduling. We have procedures in place to help those with internet access issues.

At this time, there is still no clear date on when the COVID-19 vaccine may be available for our patients.  We will continue to post updates here and on the GMCC’s Facebook page regarding the availability of the vaccine.
